POPCOM: OPERATION TULI A SUCCESS

City PopCom Officer Virginia G. Navarro has confirmed that a total of one thousand, eight hundred forty one (1841) beneficiaries availed of the annual free operation tuli in the seventeen (17) barangays of Olongapo.

The joint project of the city government headed by Mayor James Gordon, Jr. and the SK Federation led by Cheenee Hoya, with the participation of the City Population Commission Office, doctors and medical staff of the City Health Office led by Dr. Arnildo Tamayo was a resounding success.

In an interview, Navarro said over Subic Broadcasting Corporation (SBC) dwGO AM Radio that Brgy. Sta. Rita has the highest number of circumcised kids with a total of two hundred twenty (220) while brgy. Asinan has the least with a total of twenty eight (28) kids.

Due to popular demand, the city PopCom also conducted a special circumcision day at the PopCom office at city hall after the scheduled dates of the operation tuli. An additional of one hundred and nine (109) kids availed of the special free circumcision opportunity.

Based on PopCom records, the total number of circumcised kids this year beat last year’s total.
